Happy New Year!

30.12.2008

2008 flew by really quickly and before we know it, it’s the end of a wonderful (but hectic) year!

We have truly been blessed this year, and all the years before. Through our work, we have met so many lovely people and have made so many new friends… we have grown in so many ways - as professionals, as entrepreneurs and as photographers. Our work has brought us to so many new places, places we would have never even dreamed of going!

We are so grateful for all the support you’ve shown us and can’t wait to meet all the new friends that we will make in the New Year and to getting to know the friends that we have made this year even better! 2009 will be an exciting year for all of us at FIFOTO as there will be many new and exciting developments!

Happy New Year from the FIFOTO Crew!

Vivien & Chew

30.12.2008

Vivien is a good friend of Aico’s who’s wedding we shot last year in Seremban and at the Avillion, Port Dickson. Since then, Vivien has been engaging us to cover her company (Baxter) events and we’ve gotten to know her better throughout the year. It was a very early start for me and Emilia as we had to be in Seremban by 7am and thankfully, we had Kit to drive us there! (Jason was lucky as Chew started off in KL!)

Their dinner was back in KL at the Royale Bintang Hotel and we managed to drop by Pavilion before the reception to take a few portraits. Unfortunately, the weather held out for only 15 minutes before it started to pour and we were forced to return to the hotel but we managed to find some great spots for photos!

Halfway through the dinner, Chew gave Vivien a little surprise that brought her to tears - he read out a love poem he had written for her and ended it by presenting her with a bouquet of flowers, which was an extremely romantic gesture on his part especially since he has NEVER given her flowers before!

Here are some of my fav shots of the day!

Congrats to Vivien & Chew!

I just love Vivien’s pouty lips!

This is quite a cute photo - see the difference of Chew then and now…

It started to pour once they walked across the street so they REALLY had to run back!

I got to know Grace and her mom, Datin Yam, through Joycelyn & Jinh, whos wedding I shot earlier this year. They dropped by our studio one day to meet with me and immediately fell in love with Bam-Bam. The many times I met up with Datin after Grace had returned to Sydney was not to discuss the wedding (well, that was mostly secondary) but to see and play with Bam!

Apart from being a dog lover, Datin Yam is a fantastic event/wedding planner and she truly has a flair for it! The Hilton Ballroom looked like an enchanted forest, beautifully decorated with Christmas trees and the main table was lavishly garnished with cookies, cupcakes, sweets and chocolates, looking like a scene right out of Willy Wonka’s candy factory! It really took my breathe away!

Here’s a sneak peek of their wedding!

Merry Christmas

22.12.2008

It’s that time of year again! A time to put up the Christmas tree and join in the holiday cheer, a time to shop shop shop, spend time with the family and best of all, a time to relax and enjoy the holiday season! I will be taking a long break and will be heading to Penang on Christmas Eve. I can’t wait to be home for the holidays! And even as the thought of exams linger in the back of my head and I know I have to put aside some time for studying, I am making myself a promise to try and enjoy the holidays, chill and relax!

Here’s wishing you a very Merry Christmas!
